Data Protection and your personal information

The Committee of the Jersey Compliance Officers Association ("the JCOA") relies upon an exemption from the need to register with the Jersey Data Protection Commissioner’s office on the basis that the JCOA is a non profit organisation.

The JCOA must, notwithstanding the exemption from the need to register, comply with the principles in data protection legislation. The exemption applies to processing of personal data which is for the purpose of establishing or maintaining membership and for administering activities for individuals who are members.

The JCOA will process data in line with the guidance note published by the Office of the Jersey Data Protection Commissioner. You may read a copy of that guidance here
